MSA 100 Series Towing Mirrors FAQ
Do these mirrors fit both the Land Cruiser 100 and 105 Series?
Yes. While the chassis differs between the 100 Series (IFS) and the 105 Series (Solid Axle), they share the same door and mirror mounting structure. Our MSA Towing Mirrors are a direct bolt-on fit for all 100 and 105 Series variants from 1998 to 2007.
How do I choose between Electric and Manual mirrors?
If your Land Cruiser has factory electric mirrors (common on GXL, VX, and Sahara models), the TM1902 and TM1903 are the correct choices as they plug into your factory wiring. If you have a Standard model with manual mirrors, the TM1900 and TM1901 are designed for you. Note that manual mirrors do not require any wiring.
How far do the mirrors extend for towing?
The MSA mirrors feature an extendable arm that allows the mirror head to sit significantly further out than factory mirrors. This gives you the necessary line of sight to see down the entire side of your caravan or boat, eliminating dangerous blind spots and making highway merging and reversing much easier.
Will these mirrors vibrate at highway speeds?
No. Unlike cheap clip-on mirror extensions, genuine MSA mirrors are a heavy-duty, permanent replacement. They feature robust internal mounting brackets and high-quality glass designed to remain stable and vibration-free, even on corrugated outback roads.
Should I get Black or Chrome mirrors for my 100 Series?
This is a matter of personal style. Chrome mirrors (TM1901/TM1903) match the premium trim found on many GXL and Sahara models. Black mirrors (TM1900/TM1902) offer a rugged, understated look that is popular on 105 Series rigs with black bullbars and roof racks. Both offer the same lifetime structural warranty.
